Whats the Benefit of Internet Phone Service

Internet phone service is the latest technology in phone service to appear on the market and its providers claim far greater savings among other benefits but is it all as beneficial as they say it is? This depends on what type of phone service plan you already have and how you use your phone. To start with Internet phone service is also referred to as VoIP which stands for “voice over Internet protocol” which is a technical term for transferring voice conversations over the Internet.

If you use a cheap no frills phone service plan, never travel or call overseas and don’t operate a business then there is no real benefit in changing over to it. However; there are a lot of people out there right now that are throwing their money away every time they use their phone, because they aren’t using it and you may be one of them. Some cable service providers now offer Internet phone service as part of their bundled service plans and if you already subscribe to one of these cable service providers, you may want to look into it.

With Internet phone service overseas phone rates can start off as low as two cents a minute, depending on the location. If an overseas call is made to a party that is a subscriber to the same service provider then most of the time there is absolutely no charge at all for the call. For anyone who travels to countries that tend to have unreliable phone service, Internet phone service means that they can bypass their phone service by making their call from any location that has an Internet connection including wi-fi locations. Internet phone service holds multiple benefits for business owners and operators and the first on is that the phone number never has to be changed no matter where the business is relocated.

Since internet and cell phone companies are private entities and not government entities, there is no governmental agency that will be able to help you. You would need to contact companies yourself or possibly get together with other interested residents to do this.

Your options will depend on your exact home location. Broadband may be available through your phone company (AT&T), a cable company or other ISP's (Internet Service Providers). Vonage should be able to tell you who they are working with in your location.
NOTE: Vonage is not the only voice over IP provider.
Check the "yellow pages" under Internet and Phone and you may find wireless, cable and phone providers. Cable and phone companies generally give the best price to customers who already buy one of there services. Both are now selling "triple play bundles (which vary by provider and location" which gives you three services at about the cost of two today.
Good Luck and check web pricing for deals versus prices quoted on teh phone. ALSO ask about federal and state taxes and fees that are added to teh cost to determine the actual cost verses advertised cost

I know what you mean, my husband and I are always talking about the same things.
His job closed down went over sea's. He's going to school full time and getting unemployment. I work part time because we have three girls and hes always at school and doing homework. We have no insurance and our savings ran out. We are hard working people and it just seams like its never enough.
    I'm going to start a on-line business.
So I hope things pan out.

You think to much to be a democrat. Probably to much to be a Republican. You need to develop much on your views and make a choice or be an independent. Are you ok with selling your soul so to speak? Usually to really make it in office that is what you have to do. People are to lazy to really get to into your reasoning unfortunately.
