I have this cellphone and the only good thing about it is the camera quality, the rest really sucks,
One of the things that I totally hate about this phone is that I don’t have access to the mobile version of YouTube even though this is a 3G cellphone.
One more thing, the micro SD card takes forever to load :-(

since you are with t-mobile your phone should be a gsm phone (have a sim card). you can insert your sim card into and unlocked phone that uses the gsm network (sim card). so as long as the nokia phone has a sim card slot and is unlocked you can use it.

You could actually choose a prepaid plan instead of a yearly contract. Most cell phone service providers like T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T provide prepaid service using which you can use the cell phone service by payment of usage fee beforehand. It offers you the advantage of termination of service whenever you feel like without payment of any termination fee. Check out sites like http://www.billshrink.com for more details on service plans of various cell phone service providers.

This is very expensive. Verizon, Cingular and Sprint offer these PC cards. They will cost $50 with a 2-year agreement. If you want to do it without a contract, then it will be $200 for the PC Card. As for the plans, for unlimited data, it is about $80 – $100. I don't think the limited data is worth it, unless you do not plan to use it much.

In addition, recently in press release, Cingular is getting UMTS (3.5G technology) set-up by January 2007. You will be able to get 3.5Mbps speed from GTOption's PC Card.

The type of service you can get to assist her will really depend upon your/her location. There are some more localized carriers (AT and T is NOT one of them, to my knowledge) in some cities which will offer a package deal, but you would have to research them individually. I know of no such deal which can be offered through AT and T, however.

*228+send from your cell phone will only be helpful if the ph has 2 bars of signal to start. If it does then choose option #2, if it doesn't then there's not really anything else that can be done while you are skiing.
