How do I use a free wireless internet service?I live in the boonies, with only dial-up service available, however I can go to certain eateries that provide free wireless access. I am able to get connected; I have a little green icon going, I am shown the signal strength and the connection speed. When I try to open internet explorer or even Yahoo messenger, nothing happens. I get a box that pops up asking me if I want to connect to the internet or a box with my dial-up info, asking for my password to connect. Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks!
I have clicked "connect to the internet," nothing happens.

Like the contract is on your SIM card, I'm pretty sure the unlimited web bolt on is on your SIM card aswell, so yes. To make sure, ring your service provider (I'm assuming you're on O2 – if so, dial 202) speak with someone and ask them "does this account/SIM card (they'll be on your account information on the computer) have unlimited web access/web bolt on feature" and obviously if they reply yes then yes! I'm pretty sure you still have it, though.

No there is not a way to get free internet, besides maybe using WIFI on the device.
If the neighbors are using wep there are several good wep crackers that can be found. Some even run on windows! If using WPA that is a different nut to crack! Of course most wireless routers will revert to factory settings if the reset button is held down for 30 seconds, opening up the network to the world. So the smart neighbor will have used WPA and secured his router away from prying eyes! As many neighbors are not this smart, the use of a high gain directional antenna will sometime reveal the neighbors with the lesser capabilities allowing the squirrels to fill their coffers.
